Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's divorce nearing its end a decade after their separation
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver separated exactly 10 years ago, on July 1, 2011, however, to this day, the divorce process remains open, although everything indicates that it is very close to finalizing. The 73-year-old Terminator star filed a "disclosure statement" indicating that the case "is coming to an end," according to legal documents obtained by news portal The Blast. And it is that in order to conclude the process, both the actor and his ex-wife have to exchange this final statement so that a trial can be carried out in which the assets would be distributed, since the matter of the maintenance of their four children Katherine, 31, Christina, 29, Patrick, 27 and Christopher, 23, would not be an issue, not only because they are of legal age, but because at the time they both quickly agreed to joint custody, for which all comes down to money matters.

Apparently, the ex-marriage has a joint patrimony valued at 330 million euros that until now has not been distributed and which should be divided in order to conclude their divorce. As there is no prenuptial agreement, it should be distributed equally among them, so there should not be any obstacles that prevent them from reaching a good understanding.
Maria Shriver filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger on July 1, 2011, after 25 years of marriage and after the actor admitted to having a child with his housekeeper, Mildred Patricia "Patty" Baena. The boy was born on October 2, 1997, just days after Maria gave birth to the couple's fourth child, Christopher, although it wasn't until May 2011 that the infidelity became public. Joseph, who is the name of the extramarital son of the former Governor of California, is now 23 years old and maintains a close relationship with the actor.
Despite the traumatic breakup, Arnold and his ex-wife have managed to maintain a friendly relationship for the sake of their four children and for their own, sharing numerous family encounters, without hiding themselves publicly. And while Maria boasts of being single after some failed romances, the actor maintains a stable relationship with Heather Mulligan, a 46-year-old physical therapist, with whom he began dating almost eight years ago.
