The film Everything Everywhere All At Once is the winner of the Best Picture at the Oscars

In a gala full of emotions, the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded this Sunday the Oscars to the most outstanding films in the last year and Everything Everywhere All At Once ("Everything everywhere at the same time") became the big winner of the night.

The film directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert garnered seven awards out of 11 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Actress and Supporting Actor.

It was followed by Im Westen nichts Neues ("All Quiet on the Front") with four of the nine awards for which it was competing, including Best International Film.

The Mexican Guillermo del Toro opened the night with the triumph of "Pinocchio" in the category of best animated film.

A very good night was expected for the Kwan and Scheinert film, but it had two serious rivals in "All Quiet Front" and "The Spirits of the Island," which each had nine nominations.
