Kevin Spacey, without judicial restrictions before the charges of sexual assault on three men in the United Kingdom
The deputy chief magistrate of the Westminster Court, Tan Ikram, agreed this Thursday 16 to release the actor on precautionary release, without conditions, until the next preliminary hearing of the notorious case, scheduled in London for July 14.
"You have collaborated with the authorities... in New York and here you have voluntarily submitted to this procedure," informed the judge, who had previously revoked the arrest warrant against the Hollywood antihero. Ikram accepted the defense's argument, which emphasized the cooperation of the famous defendant in the proceedings opened by the British Prosecutor's Office based on investigations by Scotland Yard.
"He lives in the United States... His nine-year-old dog is in the United States. He is an American citizen who requires spending a great deal of time in the United States. He chose to appear before this Court. You can have the utmost confidence that he will continue attending this procedure," attorney Patrick Gibbs successfully argued.

The Prosecutor's Office did not object to the freedom that Spacey will have to return to his house while the case progresses in London. The actor is accused of five crimes of a sexual nature - four assaults and one non-consensual act of penetration - that would have taken place in England between 2005 and 2013. At that time, he was the artistic director of the London theater Old Vic and worked sporadically in large Hollywood movies. His lawyer assured the judge that he will strongly defend his innocence of all charges.
