Georgina Rodríguez and Cristiano Ronaldo lose one of the twins they expected: We will always love you

From happiness to despair in a few moments: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have announced that they have lost one of the twins they were expecting, a boy.

The news came through social networks late on Monday afternoon (April 18) in a joint statement: "It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the death of our son. It is the greatest pain that parents can feel Only the birth of our daughter gives us the strength to live this moment with a little hope and happiness," the couple writes. "We want to thank the doctors and nurses for their care and support. We are devastated by this loss and ask for privacy at this difficult time. Baby, you are our angel, we will always love you."

No further information has been revealed by the couple, who have understandably decided to keep this moment in the strictest confidence.

The announcement of Georgina's pregnancy occurred on October 28, when the soccer player and the model published photos of two ultrasounds on their respective social networks: "We are expecting twins, our hearts are full of joy," said the accompanying photo caption to post.

Shortly before Christmas, they revealed the sex of the children, a boy and a girl, to the delight of the couple's other children.

The family already includes Cristiano Junior, 11, the twins Eva and Mateo, born in June 2017 by surrogate motherhood, as well as Alana Martina, also born in 2017, the first natural child of Ronaldo and Georgina.
